Crochet Scarf for Men Pattern Free

I love this easy crochet chunky scarf for him. The free pattern is simple, but makes a great chunky ribbed accessory that’s perfect for a gift–or yourself!

The Sugar Maple Scarf is a “big” scarf — big in length and big in rib texture. I designed this rib scarf for my husband. I wanted to create a very warm piece to wrap him up in, but knew I would never get away with a true blanket scarf. So, I tweaked my original idea a bit and voila the Sugar Maple scarf design was created. Shhh, when he’s not looking, I borrow his scarf when I’m looking for something cozy to wrap up in.

This scarf and the matching Sugar Maple Cowl are full of crochet texture. This easy pattern features double crochet post stitches that pop next to simple half double crochet. I would love to label this pattern with a beginner difficulty level, but post stitches would only be for the confident beginner. So if you are a “confident beginner” at crochet, give this pattern a try!

Winter is the time to pull out our warmest crochet masterpieces! Hats are my first go to for winter accessories. Scarves are my second joy to create for dealing with the frigid air. What’s your go-to winter crochet project? Leave me your comments below.

The full free pattern is provided below including the size, materials, and notes. An ad-free PDF version of the Sugar Maple Scarf pattern is also available for you to purchase, download, and print out.
