Hi Fellow Crocheters and Yarn Artists!
I’m Karla Ann. I’ve been crocheting for as long as I can remember and I’ve been creating crochet patterns for just as long. “Knotting” yarn always inspired me and even as a teenager I had “visions” of blanket projects — some of which I still remember and create today. I even have a pink and white blanket I created as teenager although it’s tucked away for safe keeping.
In 2013, I decided to open my first online shop with my patterns as PDFs. My first shop name was inspired by my love for nature and partly named from a section of our three generation family owned homestead — Hidden Meadow Crochet. So if you see my patterns with this name … yes … this is me.
Over the last several years, I’ve created a bunch of new designs and shared hundreds of photos of them on various social media platforms.
Now you’ll find my PDF patterns at my new shop — Golden Strand Studio. These are the same patterns just with a new name.
In late 2018, I envisioned and created this site — Crochet.Life
I was so happy to see this new website domain extension and even more happy to provide an opportunity to share my “Crochet Life” with you.
Here you can find many, many of my crochet designs as full, free patterns. I hope you find new mittens, blankets, scarves, hats or household projects to keep you busy.
I’ll be adding more crochet projects as soon as possible, so please look around and take inspiration for you next crochet project.
I’m so happy that my children have also found a love of crocheting — my son is currently working on his very own colorblock cowl and my daughter is tackling her own bulky cowl in a cotton yarn she choose that is “not too picky.”
Both Golden Strand Studio and Crochet.Life are a result of my work and dedication as well as help from my husband, daughter, and son.
