I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous crochet shrug pattern! I named it wild cranberries because of the bright red color of the yarn, but whatever you call it, I know you will love this pattern. A shrug is an excellent choice for a first time clothing crochet pattern to create. Below you’ll find a simple to follow pattern that will make this delightful shrug.

Wild Cranberries Crochet Shrug
This is one of those patterns that will make you fill like a super star when you complete it. A light and delicate yarn really makes this feel soft and comfortable no matter what you wear it with. I like the idea of adding this shrug over a light summer dress, or over a blouse in fall when the weather just begins to cool off.
What’s the Difference Between a Shrug and Cardigan
A cardigan is a sweater or jacket that buttons or zips up the front and covers the entire torso and has full long sleeves. Shrugs are a shorter sweater that covers just the upper chest and arms, most often with short or capped sleeves. Typically shrugs have open arms and are less structured and more of a loose fitting piece of clothing meant to just cover the upper back and partially cover the chest.
