I absolutely couldn’t resist the easy stitch pattern I designed with my Enchanted Moments Blanket, so I created a matching puff stitch crochet scarf.
Using only one set of the stitch repeat from the original blanket pattern, the rows work up really fast. And, it has the added bonus of a built in border. Once the scarf is complete and seamed to make an infinity circle, there is no need to go back and put on the border. Just wrap up for the cold and enjoy your day!
Have you ever thought of turning a favorite blanket pattern into a new favorite scarf? Many patterns make good candidates for this type of alteration. I used a version of the Berry Hedge Blanket to make my Sugar Maple Cowl and Scarf.
Making smaller accessories is a really fun way to use blanket patterns that you already know and love.
The free pattern is provided below including the size, materials, and notes. An ad-free PDF version of the Enchanted Moments puff stitch crochet scarf pattern is also available for you to purchase, download, and print out. This PDF includes a bonus pattern!

Thanks for the pattern! I just made a smaller version (only 18 st wide and quite short as that’s the style that’s preferred by my friends at the moment) in a beautiful blue. It’s part of a gift set. I wanted a cowl that used puff stitch so it would be a good match with the beanie and gloves I’d made. Usually I just match that combo with a fairly simple puff stitch cowl pattern that I roughed up, but I didn’t have enough yarn left this time. Adding in the HDC gives a lovely effect (as well as making my yarn go a bit further). Thanks for putting your pattern up for free, I really appreciated your easy and clear instructions. I’m enjoying checking out the rest of your site too. Kat 🙂
