This little crochet coaster pattern is a great way to practice carrying an extra strand of yarn as you work with basic crochet stitches.
To get this beautiful stitch pattern you will only use single crochet and slip stitch. What makes this design so special is tucking the extra strand of yarn behind your stitches as you move along the row.
Bonus: the result is a really substantial crochet fabric that lends itself well to use as a coaster and placemat. The matching Interlaced Row Placemat pattern is available for free.
Have fun crocheting up a new table setting to brighten up your kitchen, bless a friend’s new home with handmade goodness or give a cheery gift during the holiday season!
