I’m in love with the texture of my new crochet hat pattern! My kids are having fun wearing their new hats as we finish out the last of our cold winter weather. It’s fun to study the stitch pattern as they wear it. Sometimes I see a ribbing pattern. Other times I see a texture that makes me think of herringbone.
The Hill Crest Hat is made using my favorite technique of starting the top of the hat by making an oval. Once the oval is complete, the hat is worked in the round as one continuous piece. There is no side seaming or piecing with a separate brim required.
