This cute crochet Easter egg has a special pocket for holding Easter candy and other little treats from the Easter Bunny.
Combine the Sweet Treat Easter Egg with the Sweet Pea Easter Egg and you have an amazing springtime crochet Easter display.
The directions below include instructions to make two different size eggs plus a treat pocket. Have fun playing with pastel color yarn as you move from round to round and create a beautiful display of spring color.
It only takes three rounds to make the small egg. They make a great filler in your Easter decoration display. The large egg is made in only four rounds so it takes no time at all to create these gorgeous decorations.
I adore the border construction for these pieces. Puff stitches add so much crochet definition and texture. Check out my Wundarn blanket which has a similar border construction using puff stitches.
The free pattern is provided below including the size, materials, and notes. An ad-free PDF version of the Sweet Treat Easter Egg Pattern is also available for you to purchase, download, and print out.
