Crochet Headband Pattern below! But first, let’s talk about what you need to know before you make a crocheted headband.
Can You Wash a Crocheted Headband?
Typically, yes. Be sure to check the label on your yarn, definitely, but yes, you can wash your headbands usually with items of a like color in warm water. Then, lay it flat to dry and you’re ready to wear it again!
Why Is My Crochet Curling?
In such a small piece, it’s almost always tension in your needle. There’s a quick fix for this with a smaller piece like this–just pull the piece flat. Or you can even block it by wetting it gently and spreading it on a flat surface and pinning it. After it dries, it should be very flat.
In the future, you can either just relax your hand, or if you have a hard time doing that, use a larger needle.
Why Is My Crochet Not Straight?
Unfortunately, this is a little harder to fix. And with a small piece like this easy crocheted earwarmer, you can pretty well know that the reason your crochet is not straight is that you lost count on the stitches.
Sometimes it could be tension, but if you weren’t precise on your stitch count, then it’s likely that. The only way to fix your piece, if you are off on the stitch count, is to pull the thread and start over again. Just do a count and pull out until your piece is the right count.
