A Scarf So Easy You’ll Still Have Time to Go Out For a Winter Walk
In crochet, borders are often a separate and last finishing element. But sometimes a little clever design combined with easy stitches can go a long way.
I designed the Winter Path Scarf with two ideas in mind: 1) it had to be an easy crochet scarf and 2) it had to have a built-in border. When you get to the last row of your crochet scarf, you are finished.
This fun scarf has it all – basic stitches, texture, built-in border and it’s easy to boot!
Half double crochet stitches make up the majority of the piece. But if you are new to crochet and unsure of the placement of post stitches, the simply placed single post stitch lets you keep track of the post-column as you move upward. You will get plenty of practice placing your posts and be able to follow your progress easily. If you don’t catch the correct post, you can rescue your placement and try again.
Let me know if you like the idea of a built-in border or if you think your crochet is not finished unless you have time to finish the edge properly. I’d love to hear your comments below!
