One of my first projects, when I began learning how to crochet, was making baby booties for a friend. This list of crochet booties patterns takes me back to those early days of crocheting. There is nothing like seeing a little pair of booties take shape, but this pattern also has great options for the adults on your list.

Crochet Booties Patterns
One of the things I love the most about crochet booties or crochet slippers is the fact that they are almost always made with a basic crochet stitch. At least, the bulk of them start with a basic pattern and can easily be added to for creating unique looks.
This list has a ton of great ideas that begin with a beginner-friendly pattern and add elements of advanced stitching or attached embellishments to make them even more fun!
How Do I Know What Size to Make Booties?
The best way to determine this is to follow the pattern included and to measure the foot they are being made to fit. Many patterns have sizing charts included so you can pick what will work for your needs. Since the yarn is fairly flexible, it is easy to make them fit without being super exact.
Can I Add a Hard Sole to The Bottom?
Yes! In fact, at least one of these patterns also includes a tutorial for adding a piece of leather to the bottom of the slipper to help them last longer. I like the idea of adding a sole to some of these to be able to wear them out. Most of the patterns are not suitable, even with a sole, to wear long term or a lot, but on occasion, they make a great option to wear out and about.
