Hooded Scarf Crochet Patterns

A scarf is probably the second most popular crochet item next to the dishcloth.  In our lives, scarves and cowls are our favorites because of their versatility.  The hooded scarf is a newer addition that we especially love since they are so cozy and make great gifts.

No matter your age or social status it is hard to resist a unicorn hooded scarf. And just look at this one, it toes the line of cool, classing, and quirky perfectly.

The pattern comes with the option to give the unicorn a rambunctious rainbow mane or to stick with something more simple.

You even have the option to convert the pattern to an adult size and look your best this fall.

The instructions are incredibly well done and the whole project takes about three hours – so you can start in the morning and head out for a Pumpkin Spiced Latte in style after lunch.

There are only three stitches involved in making this scarf but the finished project looks a lot more advanced. Beware if you wear it in front of friends, they’ll want you to make them one too.

If there is a little one in your life that doesn’t like the sound of a unicorn scarf then don’t worry, this pattern is another crowd pleaser.

The pattern is really easy to adjust to suit the size of the child you are making it for. As members of the long arm club, this is something we really appreciate in a pattern.

When you look at the model’s photo for this scarf you might think that we are a little bit crazy, but trust us – this pattern is amazing.

The instructions not only include a written guide but they also come with photos. Which are more helpful than we expected them to be.

This hooded scarf makes a great unisex present option. It comes in three size options, so you will be able to make one for anyone in your family who asks.

Wanderers Crochet Hooded Scarf Pattern

I love seeing crochet being worn by men, and while this pattern is definitely a great look for anyone, no matter the gender, I find it is suited wonderfully for the men in your life.  It has that rustic vibe they would prefer!

This pattern uses a chain, single crochet, double crochet, and a back loop only double crochet.  It could be good for a beginner to intermediate crocheter who is fairly confident in their skillset.

Skull Hooded Scarf

Young woman wearing a brown and white hooded sweatshirt standing by a blue door.

This scarf is not as spooky as it sounds and it’s kitsch enough that you could wear it all year round (and not have to stick to wearing it on Halloween only). Well, we would happily wear this scarf in the middle of summer… Don’t judge us.

We love the doubled sided element to this scarf and how well it wraps around the head.

This hooded scarf is best suited for intermediate and advanced practitioners. The instructions come written, with pictures, and the download also includes a video series to help put the scarf together.

Boho Dreams Hooded Scarf

Redhead woman with glasses wearing a light green hooded scarf with a black top sitting by some trees.

This is the kind of scarf that we would be expecting a Silvan goddess to be wearing. And because of that, we want to make at least one for ourselves.

This scarf is beautiful as well as practical, and the best news is that it is really easy to make. This is a pattern that both beginners and experts will love to follow.

The creator suggests a few different colorways and they all look great. We are looking forward to experimenting with Spring and Fall colors.

Once you have made yourself one of these, don’t forget to make a few more for us.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away someone designed the cutest scarf we have ever seen. When we discovered this pattern about four weeks ago, we fell in love. All of the little ones in our life and some of the grownups will be getting one of these next Christmas.

This is a simple pattern that all users will be able to enjoy, no matter their skill level.

It is the perfect gift for any Star Wars fans in your life, as this is by far the classiest Yoda hat/scarf/themed item we have seen in a long time.

Hint: I would make it in Harry Potter house colors for fun!
